At the young age of 24, Beasley began composing for Paramount, Disney and other studios on TV series including Fame, Family Ties, Cheers, Star Trek: The Next Generation. As a studio musician on films and commercials, he was fortunate to work with many notable film composers.

For over 30 years, 14x Oscar-nominated, Thomas Newman, has tapped Beasley to be in his core group making music for Elemental, 1917, James Bond’s Spectre & Skyfall, Finding Dory, Wall-E, He Named Me Malala, Shawshank Redemption, Exotic Marigold Hotel, to name a few.
Newman invited Beasley to orchestrate & conduct music writen for Steven Soderbergh's "Let them all Talk" with Meryl Streep, which was performed by Beasley’s big band MONK’estra.
